The objective of the project “UCIs Colombianas” is to create epidemiological profiles of Colombian ICUs and share information that may be useful for guiding health policies and improving the care of patients in a critical condition in that country.

AMIB, Epimed Solutions and the Pan-American and Iberian Federation of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care Societies (FEPIMCTI) worked together to create the National Intensive Care Register in Brazil, as part of the project “UCIs-Iberoamericanas”.
The objective of the project known as UTIs Brasileiras (Brazilian ICUs) is to create epidemiological profiles of Brazilian ICUs and share information that may be useful for guiding health policies and improving the care of patients in a critical condition in Brazil.

CBA – Brazilian Accreditation Consortium
The focus of the CBA and JCI mission is to promote the continuous improvement of quality and safety in patient care, through education and accreditation programs in health institutions.
To reach this goal, it is necessary to use methods and tools aimed at ensuring the effective adoption of care practices and conduct, as well as management, to achieve the best possible results in the care provided to patients, especially for those considered critical, serious, or of greater complexity.
To this end, CBA is announcing commercial cooperation with the Epimed Solutions Company, which specializes in solutions for the management of clinical and epidemiological information, which improves the efficiency of hospital care and patient safety. Using the Epimed Monitor System, it is possible to manage and analyse indicators, and to have access to an exclusive qualified benchmarking that brings together more than 500 hospitals, with predictive analyses that assist in decision making, improving hospital efficiency, quality of care, and patient safety.

Foro Internacional en Cuidado Crítico SAS
The “Foro Internacional en Cuidado Crítico SAS” (FICC SAS) was founded in 2016 in Bogota – Colombia. Its founders are doctors specializing in Intensive Care Medicine and Health Management and its mission is to generate solutions that meet the needs of the environment related to the critical patient.
The company operates in areas such as the development and application of technologies for health services, research and the training of health professionals in Colombia and other countries in Latin America.
In August 2020, a partnership was established between Epimed Solutions and FICC SAS, whereby the latter became the commercial representative of the Epimed Monitor System in Colombia, which will enable greater dissemination of technology and knowledge for Colombian health professionals, providing, among other things, access to the largest intensive care database in the world.

FEPIMCTI
Pan-American and Iberian Federation of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care Societies
Epimed Solutions and the Pan-American and Iberian Federation of Critical Medicine and Intensive Care Societies (FEPIMCTI) have a strategic and innovative partnership, which aims to encourage the creation of records of activities carried out in intensive care units in Latin America and the Iberian Peninsula, the project “UCIs Ibero-americanas”.
This alliance enables the National Societies that make up the Federation to have a registry of basic data on patients treated at their intensive care units and is an excellent opportunity to develop an innovative project that strengthens the records of care activities for critically ill patients.
Moreover, the partnership between Epimed and FEPIMCTI enables not only care, but also research, to be improved which is important for clinical decision-making and for resource management and planning.
